A Look Inside My Planner & A Review

Hey guys! Today I thought I would show you a look into my planner.  The pictures above are some of the doodles I've done in the empty space on each week. Some weeks are cuter than others, and not every week was filled out to its fullest potential.  That's just how life works sometimes though. But, here it is.
In the first few pages of the planner, there is a spot for you to write out some of your goals for the next year, three months, three years, and lifetime.  I thought this was really awesome because I can't even remember the last time I physically wrote down my goals.  It's a good way to keep yourself accountable for your goals.
This is what the weekly spreads look like. I always make sure to assign a focus for the week, as well as a focus for each day of the week. I love to write down a few things each week in the "Good Things that Happened" box, because I think that is an awesome way to stay positive about your life and have tons of good memories to look back on.
Every week, I make sure to fill out my weekly goal, and I always try to come up with a few good things that happened at the end of the week. It should also be noted that my planner is a lot more full during the school year than it is right now.
I am a huge planner person. I like to have everything laid out on a piece of paper (or a great planner) and if it's not, I go crazy. In 2015, I used a planner from Walgreens photo center that I customized with a cool collage on the cover. But this year, I wanted something a little different. In comes the Passion Planner*. I heard of the Passion Planner in a Youtube video, and after doing a little more research, I decided it would be the perfect planner for me in 2016.

  • The size. I got the compact size. It is 5.5" x 8.5" and I love that it can fit in my purse but it is still large enough to hold all of my thoughts and to-do lists.
  • The material of the cover. It is flexible but it provides enough structure to keep the planner safe when it is being tossed around in my purse.
  • The goal-oriented prompts on each page. Every page has a box to fill in about your goal for the day.
  • Work to-do list and personal to-do list. I love that there are separate spots on each page for these.
  • The cover gets marked up pretty easily. The elastic band that closes the book had already left a huge indent in the cover the day I got it.
  • The font used in the planner. This might just be the OCD part of me, but I'm not a huge fan of the font used throughout the planner. But obviously that wouldn't stop me from buying it.
  • The time slots. This is the first planner I have ever used that has hourly time slots every day. I'm sure it will just take some getting used to, but I'm not a huge fan of feeling like I have to plan out every hour.
Overall, I am crazy about this planner. I've had if for a few months and every day I am learning a different way to use it to improve my life. I am really glad I bought this planner, and I will definitely be repurchasing for 2017!

*Disclaimer: I am not sponsored by Passion Planner. This is my honest opinion on this product.
